Kargi hydropower plant
The Kargi hydropower plant is located on the river Kizilirmak between Osmancik and Kargi districts in northern Türkiye.

The license to build and operate the Kargi power plant was issued in 2007 by Türkiye's Energy Market Regulatory Authority, giving licence to utilize the energy potential of the Kizilirmak river between the town of Osmancik and the reservoir of Boyabat Dam for 49 years.
After four years of construction, Kargi went into commercial operation in May 2015, and was officially opened in August 2015.
