Nordic launch of the New Energy Outlook 2020 by BloombergNEF
The projections for renewables are even more optimistic than in previous years. In BloombergNEF's view, coal demand has already peaked and will decline in the future. The global power capacity (GW installed) will almost triple to 2050, thanks to renewables!
Minister of Petroleum and Energy, Tina Bru and our own CEO Christian Rynning-Tønnesen agree that there are great opportunities in this energy transition. Statkraft will play our part to become one of the world's leading renewable energy companies by 2025, being the biggest producer of renewable power in Europe by now.
